Currently, the voicemail / messageing system for Shopping.com  Merchant Support is offline due to a terchnical problem with our provider.

Please note that inbound calls will still come through,  however the messaging system will NOT pick up notifying you that all lines are busy while we are assisting another merchants.

In this instance, please contact us using the alternate methods of filing a support ticket or emailing us directly at merchantsupport@shopping.com. We will respond back as soon as possible to address your concerns in a timely manner.

We expect our messaging system to return to full functionality by Friday, Novemeber 4.

Shopping.com Merchants targeted by Phishing Attempt

 We have been alerted this morning of an email phishing scam targeting sellers on Shopping.com with the subject line "Important NOTICE: Registration Suspension".

This email is NOT from Shopping.com. The login page that you are being redirected, as well as the email address that it has come from are also NOT part of Shopping.com. Valid emails from Shopping.com will always come from merchantsupport@shopping.com

As a precautionary measure we are alerting all of our clients. Don’t become a victim of phishing, in which a fake site that mimics a legitimate site is set up to harvest login credentials. By following the tips below, you can avoid such a scam:

  • Be on alert of wording in emails that require urgent action, confirmation or information about a transaction.
  • Always view the webpage address you are on especially when clicked directly from an email.
  • Opt to manually type in a webpage address or use a bookmark.
  • Upgrade your browser version and enable the anti-phishing feature

Remember, legitimate online services will not ask you for sensitive information via email.

If you believe any of your online services have been compromised, immediately login to change your password.

If you believe you have been targeted by a phishing scam related to your Shopping.com account, do not respond or click on any links in the email. Notify Shopping.com immediately of the incident at merchantsupport@shopping.com

Shopping.com will be conducting maintenance on Monday, June 20 beginning at 10am PST until 4pm PST.

During this maintenance, FTP access will be restricted as will the ability to upload a datafeed into the Merchant Account Center.

Please note that all other functionality of the Merchant Account Center will still be accessible during this time.

Any changes to the datafeed or uploads to the Shopping.com ftp should be completed prior to 10am PST or after 4pm PST on Monday, June 20

Merchant Account Center Changes!

Shopping.com makes changes to the Merchant Account Center!

 

To better serve you and make your experiece with Shopping.com a more pleasant and streamlined one, we have launched the first of many changes expected to the Merchant Account Center throughout 2011.

You will notice that the CPC Program tab has been removed, and is replaced with the "Store" and "Products" tabs. Another change you will notice is that the flow to submit or update your datafeed has been simplified and is available all on one screen. We feel these changes will help you navigate more easily and quicker through the Merchant Account Center.

Shopping.com leverages Value Based Pricing


As part of our continued goal to remain a competitive and efficient marketing channel for your site, Shopping.com will be implementing a new rate card that leverages our Value Based Pricing on May 16th, 2011.

What's changing?
In contrast to the industry standard practice of publishing minimum CPCs, we are introducing an updated rate card where the new published rates reflect the maximum CPC you will be charged. With our focus on quality, Shopping.com will continue to dynamically discount these CPCs based on traffic performance. Maximum rates do not include custom bids set above the published rate card.

How does this affect my campaign?
Merchants can expect their return on ad spend to remain flat as we will leverage Shopping.com's Value Based Pricing tool to incent our publishers to focus on quality. This allows us to reward the best performing publishers and invest in higher quality traffic, which results in a higher volume of sales for you. Here is an example of how this incentive based tool works:

What actions do I need to take as a result of this change?

There are no actions required of merchants from this pricing change unless bidding was leveraged to optimize product placement. In this case, to maintain optimal placement, please re-adjust bids in the Merchant Account Center after May 16th, 2011.
