What is Shopping.com

Shopping.com is a pay for performance CPC based program, which you can cancel at any time.  Depending upon the type of products you sell the CPC rates will vary. You can view our full CPC rate card.

Steps to go live

1. You will need to add your products
2. You will need to fund your account
3. Shopping.com will complete the “Verification Process”
4. Account is set to Live

Adding your products  

You will need to submit your products via a data feed file to have them displayed on our site, www.shopping.com. A data feed is a structured file that lists all the products you would like to list on our network. You can create a data feed using numerous programs like excel which generates a “CSV” or “XLS” files.

If you have a hosted 3rd party storefront (ie: Yahoo, ProStores or eBay) please see the “Store Front Feed Integration” User Guide for the step by step instructions.
 
Once your feed file has already been created, simply click on the “List your products” alert button after logging into the Merchant Account Center and select the appropriate option you wish to use:
 
Option 1 : Manual Feed File Upload (using the “browse” button to upload from your computer)

1. Click the “Browse” button
2. Find the file that’s saved on your computer and click OK
3. Click Continue
4. In this next screen you will map each column of your data feed file  (you product is on the left side and you map the column type on the right side)
5. Click “Continue”
6. You’re done! 
7. Please allow up to 24 hours for your complete list of products to be processed and for the product counts to appear in the Shopping.com Merchant Account Center  

Option 2 : Automatic Feed Upload (via a FTP/HTTP location)

With this option you will need to decide if you will host the file or if you want Shopping.com to host the file. If you want Shopping.com to host the file we will supply you with your very own FTP location to store your file.

If you select “I have a feed file AND a link (web address)" 

1. Enter the Feed File HTTP web address
2. Enter the Username (if none leave blank)
3. Enter the Password (if none leave blank)
4. Click the “Continue” button
5. In this next screen you will map each column of your data feed file  (you product is on the left side and you map the column type on the right side)
6. Click “Continue”
7. You’re done!
8. Please allow up to 24 hours for your complete list of products to be processed and for the product counts to appear in the Shopping.com Merchant Account Center 

If you select “I have a feed file only”, the FTP information should now appear, leave this page open

1. In a new web browser (preferably Internet Explorer) open this web address ftp://ftp.shopping.com
2. Enter the FTP username and password given in the FTP information page (copy & paste)
3. Drag and drop your feed file into the FTP location (note the exact feed file name)
4. Now go back tothe Merchant Account Center, FTP information screen where your FTP credentials are showing
5. Enter the feed file name as it appears in the FTP location (ie: filename.xls, filename.csv, filename.xml)
6. Click the “Continue” button
7. In this next screen you will map each column of your data feed file  (you product is on the left side and you map the column type on the right side)
8. Click “Continue”
9. You’re done
10. Please allow up to 24 hours for your complete list of products to be processed and for the product counts to appear in the Shopping.com Merchant Account Center 

Funding your account

Shopping.com is a pay-as-you-go marketing channel. You need to add funds to your account and as you received qualified marketing leads the cost will be deducted from your account balance.  Once those funds deplete your PayPal account will be automatically be charged for the deposit amount that you have configured. If you have configured your account to use the manual listing method, your listings will be removed from site and an automated email will be sent to you requesting additional funds.
 
Your options to fund your account are:

• Automatic PayPal - this method requires a registered PayPal account where most major credit cards are accepted (Visa, Mastercard, Amex...)
• Manual Pay - this method requires you to enter in your credit card details for each deposit to make into Shopping.com

Once you have decided which method you will use to fund your account, follow the below steps:

1. From the Overview page of the Merchant Account Center
2. Click on the “Fund your account” alert button
3. Select your funding option
4. Enter your prepayment deposit amount (minimum of $100)
5. Click the “Continue to PayPal” button
6. If you have an existing PayPal account, enter the details on the right side of the screen and click continue OR enter your billing information on the left side of the screen and click the “Review payment” button

Please note you may be required to complete additional steps via PayPal (www.paypal.com) before Shopping.com is able to charge an existing PayPal account.  If you encounter any errors while trying to send a Payment to Shopping.com, you will need to contact PayPal directly.  

Enrollment Verification Process

We’re about trust, convenience and accuracy.  We want to make sure your listings are meeting our quality standards and that such storefront is fully functionally and operational. 
 
After you add your products and the prepayment deposit amount of $100 to your account, your account status will be set to "Not Live - Account Under Review".  There are no additional steps that you will need to do in order for this step to be completed.  The wait time to go live after you’ve added your products and funding your account is between 1-5 business days.  If we have any questions or concerns about your account we will send you an email.
 
After you pass the verification process your account status will be set to "Live". You will receive an automated email informing you of such action. Upon receipt of the “Your Account is Now Live” email it can take up to 24 hours for your complete list of products to appear on site.
