We get several clicks to our site via sites set up by Shopping.com e.g wow, searchchief, pricefile, cascadecompare, cutyourprices, etc. How do the browsing public find such sites, I have never heard of them. My first stop would be Google, yahoo, msn etc. Id' expect traffic coming from sites where shopping .com advertises such as ebay or virginmedia but not the ones mentioned above where I get 90% of our traffic. So How can you guarantee it is genuine?
In some cases, our partners who serve as advertising publishers for your products in turn have smaller partners or associated companies. So where you may have heard of Pricegrabber or Google Shopping or MSN Shopping or MySimon, you may or may not have heard of the smaller companies and websites that these publishers associate with who may be providing you the majority of your clicks.
Although we thoroughly investigate each partner we associate with directly, it is impossible for us to investigate the partners that we associate with indirectly. It is for this reason that we openly state in our merchant agreement that we do not guarantee the conversion quality of the clicks we provide for you. We only 'guarantee' that we can increase your ability to receive sales.
If you have our ROI tracker installed and find that you're getting a lot clicks but very little conversion, submit a case through our knowledgebase for an optimization request and we can help remedy this situation.

It's patently obvious that the vast majority (if not all) of the clicks received from these sites (www.cascadecompare.co.uk & www.searchchief.co.uk) are fraudulent. The click routines & page views followed textbook fraud patterns.
If shopping.com's systems can't recognize blatant abuses like this, it seems extremely unlikely they would ever identify any fraud.

We have removed our products from shopping.com & don't intend to advertise with them again.
We spend over £60,000 each year on internet advertising & are therefore vulnerable to significant numbers of fraudulent clicks. It's fundamental that we have total confidence in our advertising partners ability to protect us from these attacks. We do not have any confidence that shopping.com are interested in protecting us from fraudulent clicks.
We have wasted money with shopping .com in the last few days, but we won't waste any more.
