Our company has submitted tickets in the past and on several occasions, we did not receive a response. This makes us feel like there is no reliable communication between us and Shopping.com. Having an email or chat support (at minimum) that is always responded to would be much, much less stressful.
Apparently, the support section requires a different registration than that of our merchant account. Out of frustration regarding sales and support practices, we have filed a BBB complaint with a similar complaint to be filed with the Attorney General. For reference, please see the BBB complaint below. We hope you have a better experience.
Shopping.com provided merchant advertising services requiring $100 fee to open account. Once the account is open customer is notified via admin panel that account is on hold pending review with a note to call company. No phone number is posted.
Calling main number directs you to voice mail for merchant representative which requires first submitting a ticket and leaving reference to the incident number.
Voice mails left without incident number do not get returned. Support tickets filed never provide incident number. In fact, the filing instructions for an incident are only presented after the ticket has been submitted. The procedure to procure support is obsfucated in such a manner that support is not possible.
To date, we have filed multiple incidents and left multiple voice mail messages with no response.
Further troubling is that the only direction we have received to date is by the operator who advised this process can take 10 days. This is not noted prior to sign up, nor is the credit card billed once approved.
Their support forums indicate the $100 fee is required to keep the account open for the period of one month. It appears as though their process is set up to take your money without ever intending to provide value. It is clear from consumer postings on their site that this is standard operating procedure.
Finally, contact via the operator often goes to voice mail and attempts to contact public relations via the message tree simply hangup on you. There is no indication tht contact is even possible.
After filing here, we intend to file a complaint with the Attorney General regarding possible fraudulent business practices.
I can't believe this is "owned by Ebay". There is no service. I can't get anyone to respond to this support tickets or whatever they're called. I'm contesting the charge with MC tomorrow. I'm going to check and see if anyone owns the domain "shopping-com-steals.com"
Amazing how much ebay praises about how high their standards are for sellers customer support and satisfaction guidelines.
My feed on shopping.com has not been live for some reason for over a week? I have a positive balance in my account yet shopping.com says my credit card is invalid - please contact support. I have been contacting support now for 9 days and still have not received a response? My credit card works just fine. Why am I receiving this message? Anybody out there?
Am I doing something wrong here? You seem to take my money rather quickly to use your services. How do I contact a person?
The "customer service" you provide merchants is absolutely horrendous. Among many issues, I have contacted merchant "support" because my logo is not being displayed next to my products. I'm certainly being charged for displaying my logo, but alas it is no where to be seen. I received a response nearly 1 week later saying Your logo is appearing next to your products and you can see this here: http://www1.shopping.com/xCC--eve_s_addiction_com

I am just as frustrated as the rest of you. I can't belive how hard it is to do business with them. This is nothing like dealing with eBay.
